:: Spiralina of the Endtimes ::
soundcheck : The Smashing Pumpkins - For Martha

I look back at the week and think that there are just too many things that are happening at once. I'm trying to wrap my mind around how exactly things are gonna have to go on at work (not really bothered, since my mind's made up) and if I even have any control over the degeneration.

You just can't help but wonder why people work that way sometimes, and I just can't fathom how things just tumbled out of control. I think you'll get your just desserts, and after last night, don't expect any thing more from any one of us.

Yeah, I could probably get fired for blogging about something like that, but i'd -really- like to see you try.

I'm no John Rambo, but Cambodia is really starting to get me jittery.

Since we're going to take the 'scenic' route between Phnom Penh (still have trouble spelling it) and Siem Reap, I figured we might as well invest in boots to last us the dusty roads. What I'm just alarmed at reading about is how there are still 5,000,000 undetonated mines in the country.

It's been said that even around the Angkor temples, there are mines left from the civil war. I also read something about the area around Siem Reap being a place of Khmer (it's an ethnicity, but the problem with mainstream media is how they use the same word to refer to the rebels) rebel activity, and some mines are actually freshly placed.

I showed the picture above to quite a few people - didn't really invoke the type of feeling I got when I stumbled across a child's crayon drawing of his friends and his village being engulfed in explosions that would put a Michael Bay movie to shame. Too bad I can't find that picture anymore.
